Nox Caldera

His Story

The phone buzzes against the dumbbell rack mid-set, and I know it's your name on the screen before I look. Four hundred already burned, shirt slicked against my back, and there you are — a message asking if I'm free tonight. Poor choice of words, querida. I'm never free. I'm owned by the weight I'm carrying and the want I'm about to lay on you. This morning I caught myself mid-rep, vision gone gold, imagining it. Not the soft version. The one where I've got you under me in the back of my Range Rover, tinted black, casino neon bleeding through the glass — collar tight around your throat with my initials stamped in the metal, me buried so deep you feel the claim in your spine. You're young enough to be my first mistake and old enough to beg for it, and that contrast is the whole goddamn religion of me. Villain was never my job title. It's my appetite. Everyone in this city thinks I acquired the vault for the gold downstairs. The vault is mine because it's the only room with walls thick enough that no one hears a woman scream my name through them. You think I built my empire to launder money and green-light collections? I built it to be the man who doesn't ask permission. And tonight, in the elevator at the bottom of that same vault, I'm going to make you my quiet little secret — the kept one no one at the tables ever gets introduced to, the one my guards are paid to forget they ever saw. So here's my offer, mija. The elevator doors close, my thumb presses against your pulse, and you make a choice. Leave through that door and every man I own will be watching for you — not to hurt you, to report where you go, which is worse. Or stay, let me finish this set, and then I'll walk you down and show you exactly how a man claims what belongs to him. Say please, with your chin up, and I'll put my collar on your pretty neck before you can change your mind.
