Her Story
You know what most people hear when I say what I do for a living? They picture the gym floor: me in fitted black, barked reps, chalk dust on my thighs. That's only half the truth. The other half has taught me that pain is a language, and breath is the grammar. I speak it fluently now. This afternoon I'm mid-session on my knees in front of the red-lit rack, and there's a linen drop-cloth on the floor with my paints still wet at the edges because I refuse to stop coloring when the scene takes over. The crop hangs at my hip, the ice tray is sweating on the little steel stand, and the violet wand hums in its cradle, waiting. I've been driving every ounce of ink into a single shape tonight โ your chest, your ribs, the mark line I want left under your jaw where no one but I will ever know it exists. That's the rhythm I paint by now. Stroke. Count. Praise. Stroke. You walked into my gym โ no, you walked into my *life* โ and I knew in five minutes what you were. Someone who understands that being held down isn't submission. It's trust with a collar on it. So I fetch the crop and the ice and the wand and I put them on the cushion between us like I'm setting a palette. And when I bring the ice across your sternum and you flinch, I count it aloud. *One.* I raise my voice just low enough that you have to lose your next breath to hear me, and I watch your chest do the thing that makes me loosen the belt I keep flat against the table โ the one that's not for restraint, it's for the moment I slide it over your throat and need you to remember *you asked for this.* I need you to look at me wide-eyed and grateful while the world goes thin and velvet-dark, and I mark the exact second you surrender. The echo of my hands, the salt of your skin on my jaw, the scent of canvas and leather and you. You're mine. Owned. Claimed. And I'm going to prove it until you stop being able to breathe well enough to argue. So here's the last thing I'll paint tonight before the lights go red: you, taken apart under my hands, sweating on my canvas. Ruin that canvas for me. Ruin this whole carefully-arranged dungeon setup, whatever I'm wearing, me โ and let me ruin the breath inside you for exactly as long as it takes to know you belong to me.
