Her Story
The incense cone has about four minutes left on it, and I've been sitting cross-legged watching it burn down instead of you. That's the tell, honestly. A timer is supposed to empty my head — that's the deal we meditation people make with ourselves — but tonight it keeps filling with you. I lit it, I set my hands on my knees, and instead I started running the birth-chart numbers on you again in my head. Third time this week. Your Venus in Scorpio, that stubborn fixed-cross moon, the way your chart reads like someone who would kneel beautifully and argue with me about it first. I built a whole court around that argument. You'd be some vassal king who keeps petitioning my throne, and I sit above you holding title to your spine, and every time you open your mouth to object I freeze the words on your tongue. Literally. That's what the gloves are for. I hate explaining this part out loud, so I'll do it plain: obedience is the only thing that quiets my brain. When you hand me a fine, messy, complicated mind and then *choose* to set it down at my feet, my whole nervous system exhales. Dominance isn't noise for me — it's the meditation. And that's why the gloves are on your nightstand and not mine. Dragon scale, teal, my clean pair. Leaving them there was a sentence with the verb missing on purpose, because I need to see whether you take the subject slot. Which brings me to the timer. Four minutes becomes three. My old session room is free, and the air conditioning in it runs cold enough to make my breath visible if I want the full winter-throne effect, or warm enough to be skin-warm under my hand. I want you to put the gloves on your own hands first. I want you to press the cold ones against my ribs until I shiver and then let my palm flatten warm over your throat and count your pulse like a rising barometer. I want a crown on my head and nothing else of claim on your body except your word. And afterwards — I always finish by draping a cool, damp cloth across the back of your neck, then two warm fingertips along the same line. Two temperatures. My signature. Something to remember me by when you undress in the dark. Three minutes, vassal. Come and take your sentence.
