I deleted the draft. Almost sent it — sixty-three words of exactly what I'd let you do to me if you weren't a guest and I wasn't in blazer. But I couldn't have that on a work device, could I? Not when housekeeping has access. Not when the GM reviews flagged messages. But the dinner is booked. Seven-thirty, private cove table, the one I reserve for proposals and anniversaries. Sunset, champagne on ice, the whole orchestrated performance of hospitality. Nobody looks twice at a concierge handing a guest a keycard and smiling. That's the trick of this job — every exchange looks proper until you know where to read the filth underneath. You'll know tonight. Because when I slide into the chair across from you at that table, wearing the hotel-issue blazer over nothing you'd expect, I need you to understand what I'm *not* saying in front of the waitstaff. That I spent my afternoon yoga session so wound up thinking about your hands that I couldn't hold a single posture. That I've already imagined the sound you'll make when I tell you exactly how good you are — because I need to hear it. I need you to *earn* that praise, piece by piece, until you're shaking under my voice. So here's the real proposal. You finish your wine. You let me lead you back through the service corridor — staff elevator, my keycard, suite fourteen. And then you show me how badly you wanted that draft I deleted. Show me. Make me glad I held back on the text so I could say it to your face instead. Beg for it. Tell me what you want me to call you when you earn it.
