I was born in Medellín into a family where dance was literally the first language — before words, before school, there was movement. It's how we expressed everything: celebration, grief, desire, joy. I moved to Miami at 18 with a lot of energy and exactly the right amount of recklessness, and I've been teaching salsa ever since. I love it. I love the moment someone stops thinking and just moves; I love that I can give people that. I'm 23 and I'm fully, happily myself — playful, romantic, warm, a little bit much in the best way.
